These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all purchases of safes (home, business, specialized fireproof/waterproof models), safe accessories (locks, anchor kits, replacement parts), and related services (consultation, delivery, professional installation) (collectively “Products/Services”) from SecureVault Safes (“Company,” “we,” “us”). By placing an order via our website, showroom, authorized dealers, or customer service, you (“Customer,” “you”) agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any attached product specs or service quotes.
1. Order Acceptance & Modifications
Your order constitutes a request to purchase Products/Services. We reserve the right to accept, reject, or adjust orders if: products are out of stock (due to supply chain delays or high demand), customizations (e.g., engraved logos, specialized locking systems) are unfeasible, or your delivery location is inaccessible (e.g., no elevator for heavy floor safes). A binding contract forms only when we send a written order confirmation (email or signed document) detailing items, specs, total cost (including fees), delivery/installation dates, and deposit requirements.
Post-confirmation modifications (e.g., switching lock types, upgrading safe size) must be submitted in writing within 24 hours. We will confirm feasibility and any cost/timeline changes (e.g., $50–$150 for lock upgrades, 3–5 business days for custom adjustments). For custom safes (non-standard sizes, engravings) or bulk business orders (5+ safes), modifications are prohibited once production begins (typically 2 business days post-confirmation); cancellations incur forfeiture of the 30% non-refundable deposit.
2. Product Specifications & Compliance
All safes meet industry standards: fireproof models resist 1,800°F for 1–2 hours (per UL 72 Standard), waterproof models withstand submersion (IPX7 rating), and locks (biometric, digital, mechanical) comply with ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 security standards. Product pages/showroom tags list key specs: exterior/interior dimensions, weight, lock type, fire/water resistance, and anchor compatibility. Minor cosmetic variations (e.g., subtle steel finish differences) are normal and not defects.
You are responsible for verifying that safes comply with local regulations (e.g., business cash safes meeting insurance requirements, residential safes adhering to HOA rules). We provide compliance guidelines but are not liable for fines/penalties from non-compliance.
3. Payment Terms
- Methods: We accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), debit cards, PayPal, certified checks, and bank transfers. Business customers may qualify for net-30 terms (credit approval required via application).
- Deposits: 30% non-refundable deposit for custom/bulk orders; 20% for standard in-stock safes (due at order confirmation). Remaining balance is due 2 business days before delivery/installation.
- Pricing: Prices (USD) exclude sales tax, delivery fees, and installation (if optional). Quotes are valid for 14 days; prices may adjust due to material cost increases (e.g., steel) or currency fluctuations.
- Late Payments: Unpaid balances incur 2% monthly interest. We may delay delivery/installation or cancel orders (forfeiting deposits) if payment is 14+ days overdue.
4. Delivery & Installation
- Delivery: Local delivery (within 50 miles) includes curbside drop-off ($40–$100, based on weight) or white-glove service (bringing the safe inside, placing it in your desired spot; $80–$200). Long-distance shipping (50+ miles) is for small safes (<100 lbs.) via freight ($60–$150); heavy safes require local pickup or specialized freight (quoted separately).
- Installation: Professional installation (recommended for floor/wall safes) includes anchoring to studs/concrete ($75–$150). You must clear access (e.g., remove furniture, ensure doorways fit the safe) and disclose floor/ wall weight limits; delays from inaccessible spaces incur $50/hour fees.
- Inspection: Inspect safes upon delivery. Note damage (dents, broken locks) on the delivery receipt, take photos, and notify us within 24 hours. We replace damaged safes free of charge; failure to report damage voids coverage.
5. Warranties & Returns
- Warranties: 5-year warranty on safe bodies (covers structural defects, lock malfunctions from normal use); 1-year warranty on accessories. The warranty excludes damage from misuse (e.g., forced entry attempts, improper anchoring), natural disasters, or unauthorized repairs.
- Returns: Standard in-stock safes (unused, uninstalled, original packaging) may be returned within 14 days for a refund (minus deposit and delivery fees). You pay return shipping. Custom/bulk safes are non-returnable unless defective (verified by our technicians), in which case we replace or refund.
6. Limitation of Liability
Our liability is capped at the total amount paid for the Product/Service. We are not liable for indirect damages: loss of valuables stored in safes (we recommend insurance), business downtime from delayed deliveries, or costs from unauthorized access (due to lost codes/keys).
